Sometimes a girl needs to treat herself to something good. That’s always the case when I use Philly. What better way to pamper yourself, than to sleep in and then whip up up this Philly omelette. The rich taste of Philly goes great with smoked salmon, and even better when the taste is captured in an omelette. Pampering goes a long way with this dish. Bon Apetite!
Smoked Salmon Omelette
8 eggs
1/4 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoon unsalted butter
1/3 pound smoked salmon, torn into large piece
1 cup Philadelphia Cream Cheese
4 green onions, finely chopped
salt
ground black pepper
WHISK eggs and heavy cream together in a large mixing bowl.
HEAT large nonstick pan and set over medium heat. Add the butter and spread out evenly over the surface of the pan; once it starts to foam turn the heat down and add eggs. Using a spatula swirl the eggs quickly in a circular motion as you gently shake the pan back and forth to cook evenly.
ADD the pieces of salmon, small spoonfuls of cream cheese, and green onions over the top after the eggs have set. Season with salt and pepper, then as you slide it out onto your cutting board, roll 1 side over the top as you go to form an omelette.

4th of July came and went, and took my girlish figure with it. With many more days of summer looming ahead of me it looks like I’m back to dieting, which means all the Philly Cream Cheese I can eat! No your eyes do not deceive you, cream cheese is actually a diet friendly food. It contains 25% less saturated fat than regular butter and is perfect for a low carb diet and what Philly lacks in fat and carbs, it makes up for in taste!
You can jump start your morning with a Philly Fruity Bagel. Use a wheat bagel so you can get even more whole grains. Then in the afternoon keep your stomach from growling by noshing on Cream Cheese Crunchers. The peanut butter is a great source of protein and offers fats that are good for you. When you get home serve up Tomato Bisque for a quick and filling meal.
While I wouldn’t suggest keeping Philly in your gym bag (it might spoil) I would definitely suggest keeping it in the fridge. It’s perfect for anytime of day to keep on target with your weight loss goals and is a great way to get your dairy fix, if you’re like me and hate milk. Philly to help keep your nutrition on track, who’d have thought it?

I love using seasonal foods when cooking. Most of the time food that is in season will be at its best, taste wise, and will be fairly inexpensive as well. Right now, it’s time for plums. These purple, sweet ,sour, juicy, over sized grapes make me think of my childhood. They are they definition of heavenly when they are eaten with cream cheese. Here’s how to take your ordinary Philly Cream Cheese flavor and add my favorite fruit.
Plum Cream Cheese
1/2 (8 oz.) package cream cheese
1/3 cup finely chopped dried plums, divided
1/4 cup finely chopped walnuts, toasted
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1-2 tablespoons orange juice, to taste
1 tablespoon honey
Salt
MIX cream cheese, dried plums, nuts, 1 tablespoon of the orange juice, honey and cinnamon in large bowl.
ADD remaining orange juice, if necessary, to reach desired consistency. Season with salt, as desired.
SERVE spread onto toasted bagels.

Whether its breakfast, lunch, or dinner Philly has you covered. Take a look at these 15 minute meals and next time you’re in a bind give them a try.

These tiny sandwiches are great for a quick lunch, especially now that the kids are out of school for summer, and fun to eat. Throw them together in a jiffy, better than a Happy Meal and faster too.
