Are you a fan of shortcuts? If you are, then you will love these Quick Apple and Cinnamon Turnovers. If you thought that turnovers were difficult, think again! This quick and easy recipe is a shortcut to a tasty dish! For best results, use fresh tortillas to prepare. However, if you don’t have fresh tortillas, soften them first by warming them in the oven or microwave.
Ingredients
4 oz. (1/2 of 8-oz. pkg.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
1 Tbsp. brown sugar
1/8 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 Granny Smith apple, thinly sliced
4 flour tortillas (6 inch)
1/4 cup thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping
|
|
Instructions
MIX cream cheese, sugar and cinnamon; spread onto tortillas to within 1/2 inch of edges.
ARRANGE apple slices down centers of tortillas. Fold up bottom of each tortilla, then fold in remaining sides to enclose apples.
HEAT large nonstick skillet sprayed with cooking spray on medium heat. Add turnovers, seam-sides down; cook 3 min. on each side or until golden brown on both sides. Serve topped with COOL WHIP.

One thing I love most about refrigerated dinner rolls is how they smell when they come out of the oven. The warm, aroma leaves the kitchen smelling like a bakery! Imagine how these Bacon, Cheese & Tomato Crescents will smell when they’re out of the oven…just lovely! Vary this recipe by substituting PHILADELPHIA Chive & Onion Cream Cheese Spread for the cream cheese.
1 can (8 oz.) refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
4 oz. (1/2 of 8-oz. pkg.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
1/4 cup finely chopped tomatoes
1/4 cup finely chopped red peppers
4 slices OSCAR MAYER Bacon, crisply cooked, drained and chopped
|
|
PREHEAT oven to 375ºF. Separate dough into eight triangles; spread with cream cheese. Top evenly with remaining ingredients.
ROLL up, starting at shortest side of each triangle. Place, point-sides down, on baking sheet.
BAKE 12 to 15 min. or until golden brown. Serve warm.
