I’m all about watching my weight right now; with summer now just a few weeks away it’s time to kick my butt into gear. That means more time spent at the gym, and less time spent in front of the television. At least I know that I don’t have to give up great tasting foods. With Philadelphia 1/3 less fat cream cheese, I can have low-carb meals that are still delicious. Try these great recipes out for yourself, and watch the weight melt away!
Garden Vegetable Grilled Sandwich- Philly Garden Vegetable light cream cheese and fresh seasonal veggies such as zucchini, Walla Walla onion, and Portobello mushrooms make this light supper taste heavenly. You will fell great and fulfilled. Use whole wheat bread, and some fresh arugula for a flavorful sandwich.
Roast Pork Tenderloin Supper- You won’t regret making this fabulous pork tenderloin dinner. It will have you feeling like you sat down for Thanksgiving dinner, with out the bloated and too full feeling. Use Neufchatel Cheese, 1/3 Less Fat than Cream Cheese to make a nice creamy sauce to pour over the pork. Finish off with some fresh green beans or asparagus.
Creamy Chicken Parmesan- Bet you would never think of having chicken parmesan while on a diet, huh? Well guess again, this version tastes just as good as the real deal, and only comes in at 480 calories. Serve over orzo and veggies for a balanced meal. Layered Pumpkin Loaf- This bread is amazing! I know normally you wouldn’t eat bread (or a whole lot of it) on a diet, but this is great for desserts. Just over 200 hundred calories it’s the perfect trick to satisfy your sweet tooth. Try it with a little dollop of light cool whip or toast it and drizzle a little honey across it. Replace regular sugar with Splenda to cut even more calories!
Creamy Apple Bites- For a quick, fast, healthy, and refreshing snack, pop one of these bad boys into your mouth. You can use Philadelphia light or 1/3 less fat cream cheese. Top with a thin apple slice (or peach) and sprinkle with some cinnamon.
