Happy Teddy Bear Picnic Day everyone! Did you know that teddy bears date back to President Theodore Roosevelt in 1902? It was then that a Russian immigrant manufactured the very first furry, stuffed toy that he named, “Teddy’s Bear.”
A great way to celebrate this fun holiday is by taking your (or your children’s) teddy bears along for a picnic! Don’t forget to invite some friends and family too! Pack up some of your favorite items that you and your stuffed friends would enjoy, such as honey, berries, and jelly.
If you’re looking for a teddy bear-inspired snack, try the Yummy Stuffed Bears. Besides enjoying your favorite treats at your picnic, you can even take pleasure in bear-like activities. For example, you can have the kids (and even yourself) act like bears—climb trees, pick berries, etc.
Another fantastic game to play is the Big Bear Game. It’s very similar to playing ‘tag’—basically, one person hides behind a bush (this is the big bear) and the other person/people go fairly far away from the bush. When the game begins the people who aren’t bears run to the bush and call “big bear big bear come out”; they keep calling for a while and can run back to their spot and start over again. The “bear” can come out whenever it wants and tag someone; the person tagged becomes the bear. Have fun!

Picnics are a great leisure activity. Considering the current economic situation, it is but normal to want to save money. A good old fashion picnic is a superb way to save and have fun.. Whats so great about a picnic is that children typically like them just as much as adults. Dont for get to bring your picnic baskets and enjoy.
