Your wedding day is the most important party you will ever
plan let alone attend. As someone who recently took a walk down the aisle, I
learned that one of the most important elements to a wedding is the food.
Wedding food can usually be described as blah, boring, and outdated, which no
bride wants to hear!
Before you decide between chicken and

Try a Dessert bar – I have a huge sweet
tooth, and one of my favorite things that we did for my wedding was a dessert
bar. Aside from our wedding cake we had truffles, fudge, tarts, and miniature
cherry, chocolate, and caramel cheesecakes. You could do the same by using some

their delicious
dessert dip too. Serve it with a variety of fruits and cookies for guests

Jazz up Appetizers- After the ceremony you
and your new loved one are going to want to take a moment to celebrate your new
union. Have servers walk around with appetizers while they wait. I held my
wedding at a gorgeous vineyard, so obviously tons of wine was served. Nothing
goes better with wine than cheeses. My favorite was a chive and onion cream
cheese spread on a whole grain cracker. Try Philadelphia’s
Chive and Onion Cream cheese spread. It’s also good on smoked salmon, or
mixed with crab in a wonton wrapper.
Fun and Unforgettable Favors- People
love leaving weddings with a special memento to remember a special day. We did
something that I’m truly proud of. My husband and I love to cook and bake, and
one of our favorite things is homemade cream cheese brownies. We used our
favorite Marble
brownie recipe and gave each guest a delicious brownie wrapped in a cute
clear cellophane bag with a red ribbon (our wedding color) tied around it, and
our names and date attached. It was like we were sharing our love of our favorite
treat with everyone else. It was very special and a perfect topper to an
evening at the vineyard.
