Great Philadelphia Cream Cheese Recipes

Yummy Comfort Foods!

I
look to my favorite comfort foods every time I feel a little homesick. And as someone who recently moved far away from all family and friends, I
found myself making these dishes more often then not. In fact I was making them
so much they were becoming a little boring. So, I changed some of the recipes using Philly
cream cheese and its various flavors, which brought new life to some old recipes. Check out some of my favs.

For me it’s all about the potato,
and I love my mashed potatoes! I eat them at least once a week. Having the same
old mashers was starting to get a little dull though, so I decided to mix it up
a little and try the Philly version!
The Chive and Onion Mashed Potatoes
were amazing, savory, and full of
flavor. But maybe scalloped potatoes are more your style, if that’s the case try
the Easy
Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes.
  They are delicious,
and hard to resist. If you want to spice them up a bit you should try
Philadelphia Jalapeno Cream Cheese

            Pot pies,
bakes, and casseroles are another type of comfort food that is hard to resist.
My husband is a huge fan of chicken pot-pie, and his mom makes a great version.
So when I tried to make one for him there was a lot to live up to. I tried this
great recipe for Deep
Dish Chicken Pot Pie
using Philly cream cheese as a base for the sauce,
which made it rich and thick. If you like the pot-pie idea you might also like
the Crust
Topped Broccoli Cheese Bake
, which is layers of broccoli and cheese mixed
together with Philadelphia Chive and Onion cream cheese and topped with the
same flaky crust used in the chicken pot-pie. Both these dishes will leave you
warm, relaxed, and totally satisfied.

            Start off
your day on a good note, with a hearty and comforting breakfast too. Try this
recipe for Berries
and Cream Hot Cereal
. Mix a little Philly into your cream of wheat and add
fresh blueberries, strawberries, or banana. It will be sure to get your day off
on the right foot.
